Run Your Route ChallengeThe Marshfield donor center is the winner of the Run Your Route Challenge. All attempting donors and the dedicated BloodCenter team in Marshfield have won a post-season party with Green Bay tight end Jermichael Finley.
Kudos to Marshfield – they surpassed their goal by 18%. If you participated in the Challenge by donating at Marshfield between December 1, 2011 and January 15, 2012, you will be contacted soon with details about the party. Two other donor centers achieved second place status – the Greenfield and Brown Deer centers both surpassed their goal by 11 %. Congratulations and thank you to everyone who participated in the Run Your Route Challenge. Your support helped make this Challenge a great success – but more importantly, you helped save lives of patients in hospitals served by BloodCenter of Wisconsin.
Patients like Michael know firsthand the importance of a life-saving blood transfusion. Michael was diagnosed with leukemia when he was three and required 12 transfusions while undergoing chemotherapy. He was cancer free until April 2010, but was diagnosed with leukemia again and now has about two years of chemotherapy remaining. His therapy has already included several blood and platelet transfusions. Michael and his family are extremely grateful that blood products are available when he needs them. They ask for your continued support by taking time to donate blood.

Michael is also a huge sports fan and recently had the amazing opportunity to meet Jermichael. Their meeting gave both Jermichael and Michael lasting memories.
